"So you've just finished whitening teeth, you are so pleased with your new smile. How do you maintain? What are you supposed to do and how long can we expect that these whitening results will last? Well, first of all what you want to do is, you want to give up smoking, coffee, your cappuccinos, your blueberry smoothies, all of those wonderful things that you absolutely love to have. Kidding. You don't really have to but do know that each time that you are just involved in daily living, you will be staining your teeth again and certainly depending on how much of these habits you have or how frequent your habits are will depend upon how long your newly whitened teeth will remain that way. When you have whitened teeth, we'd like to think by hearing the feedback that we have here, is that on average most people will be happy with their whitening effects anywhere from 9 months to a year and a half. Again that varies by personality and preferences and lifestyles. If you have these habits, please know that you'll need to do maintenance more frequently but the companies do say between those whitening systems about 6 months before you can redo again. So you'll want to at least keep to that rule."
