"You know, we get asked a lot how much whitening should one do? What we like to talk about is what is a comfort level for people. Obviously as a dental hygienist, we're very concerned about safety that we don't want to over whiten teeth or use it too often or too frequently but the companies do say approximately every 6 months that you will be able to whiten teeth if need be, if necessary. What we like to tell customers too is what whitening is right for you? It's a very personal preferential type of a procedure and what we find might be great whitening for one person in 5 days may take another 14 days. So what we say is you're the best person to judge this. What you should do is after each and every whitening procedure or treatment you are to look at your results, wait another day, because you'll always have a relapse after whitening. It means that you'll tone down just a little bit. So the following day you should take a look at it again and decide is this the point that I'd like to be at for my tooth whitening. If you feel that I could go a little bit further then certainly go for the other couple few days and always reevaluate at that time. What's right for you may not be right for someone else . We get people in who want the best whitening products, they want the whitest teeth and then we'll also see customers who just want a little bit of brightening as we spoke about at the beginning. They don't want it to be so noticeable. They want it to be lifting but not noticeable to everyone. So certainly it is a personal judgment on your call."
