Types of Teeth Whitening Products

"I'd like to break up teeth whitening into different categories. My brighten, lighten and whiten tend to work for us in how we talk with our customers and patients. When we want to brighten our teeth, it seems to me that brightening teeth means that we can remove surface stain. So we're looking to do very small amounts of tooth whitening, and we're probably only looking to do that with a toothpaste. We're not really looking to take time out of our day to do any other different type of our product. We maybe aren't ready to make a commitment to sit for longer periods of time. So some of the great toothpaste that are out there, that will help to brighten your smile, super smile is one. Very very beautiful product, great line of products for people who have the coffee, the tea, the red wine, the tobacco staining. And yet what we love about the products are that they're not abrasive. They are actually very kind to tooth enamel. When you are shopping for whitening products, you always have to consider the fact that, if we're removing stain from our teeth, how abrasive is that for our enamel. So what we'll be looking at today are some great quality brighteners whereby you can brush your teeth daily with them. They have the fluoride, gentle on the tooth, and yet give you nice, polishing results. And those are some of the ones that we have here. That can do that nicely. The other way, if we want to look at brightening, is to use a power toothbrush. Power toothbrushes are noted for teeth whitening. The reason for that is because power toothbrushes actually remove surface stain. So if you team up a power toothbrush and a great toothpaste for whitening, you could actually have very nice daily results on keeping teeth as white as they can be, using those. Other methods would be, in our lightening category, would be to use products that brighten somewhat but not still full force on vivid white teeth. And some of those products would be some of the maintenance products. They make ampoules in a small concentration of peroxide, that can actually whiten teeth but very minimally, because they are intended to remove that coffee in the surface stain as we spoke of. So those would be examples of lighteners. As we continue ahead, we will talk about tooth whiteners, which are the main category of our whitening topics today."
