"Many of the irrigators these days have some specialty tips that are very essential if you have specific dental needs. For instance, we spoke about the gum disease conditions where you have the deeper pocketing and where we need to dedicate our attention to. We also have people, adults and children in braces, who could use that extra irrigation. The pressurized water to help dislodge the food debris around the brackets and along the gum tissues which are often so hard to get flossed. So what we have on many of the irrigators today, they make a specific attachment which is usually like a little rubber tip attachment, that is intended to get further underneath the gum tissue. It's a soft attachment usually and this is intended to go on as a second time around with the irrigator. So in other words, the first time as we're doing our initial irrigation we are using the standard tip. You are flushing around the teeth as we just mentioned. The second time around you would pull the canister up with the water again and that would be the time that you would put on, put in the antibacterial mouth rinse. Now with this irrigation on low, it will be restricted coming out of that tip, you can actually deliver that antibacterial mouth rinse up under the gums where we now know that it's clean. We've already flushed out that area with the other tip and now we're looking to just use this as a means for injection of that antibacterial agent. This can have wonderful effects on the gum tissue. Tissues can heal. Tissues are reached that you were never able to reach before, and you will notice many, many differences in terms of the health of the tissue. You probably will have less bleeding. Your dental exams will become easier. Your cleanings are easier and everything just is more healthy situation."
