"The flosses, as they become available and as you are shopping for them, here are some things you want to keep in mind. The expanding flosses, such as this floss, it will, once it hits your saliva, will expand and it puffs out and it becomes more textured. And as that happens, that texture actually will help to fill area very effectively and will disturb more bacteria and it disturbs that plaque. So this can become a very effective tool for people who have large spaces in between teeth, people who have been told that their gum tissues are not very healthy, and people who have sore gums. And the reason is, is because flosses such as this feel like fabric. They feel absolutely superb going in between teeth and so if you have sore gums, one of the things you want to look for is soft, gentle floss that will work very well and be gentle at the same time. Other people will find that the flat ribbon flosses work best for them. Flat ribbon flosses are usually very well waxed. They help to fill the space but mostly it's their ease of use that people look for. They're very, very easy to get in between teeth and usually the flat ribbon flosses are the ones that have got people to start flossing again. So the ribbon flosses are very effective, can do a very good job. And yet you'll have people who'll look at that ribbon floss and say no way can I get that in and therefore you would be looking for a very, very super thin, fine floss. And this would be indicated for people who really have difficulty getting any type of floss in between teeth or who potentially even shred different flosses. So you really want to take a look at what's out there, try to compare, do not give up because it may require an extensive search. But usually once you find a floss of your choice and that works best, you will not be able to go without flossing."
