"Much like the wedge wade where you're using extra people to give the wade added support, the circle wade is another way of doing that. In this method you aren't going to be using a paddle for support, there's going to be no one front person or point man for the whole entire way. For this, instead, you'll be making a small circle, all facing inwards, holding on to the back of the PFD's to add support. At this point, you're then going to slowly pivot this circle out into the current to take the stress off each person and give them a little respite as they come into the eddy behind you. With the circle wade it's often easy to get away from under you so it's important to keep a rule of thumb in. If more than a third of the people, within the wade, because you can do this with a number of people, start loosing footing, you should bale on the wade and swim back to shore and try again."
