"A way to add security to your wade is by adding people. And here you get security in numbers. With the wedge wade what you're going to do is much like with the solo wade where you're using the paddle as support from the front person. Then you're going to add people on to the back to create a larger eddy. Those people behind you can also hold on to the back of your PFD and provide forward support for that front person who can then get better footing with that support. It's also good to remember, when you're using a point person, this is not something that's a feel good activity. You want to pick the biggest, tallest person for the point because they create the best eddy. "
