"Welcome to facial Yoga segment called the Corpse pose. The goal here is to allow the body to be perfectly still. And to assist us in that it could be helpful to simply have a beautiful environment. If you're not out here in nature as we are, you could just simply have a flower. That's near you in a vase or laying down next to you. Because the invitation is that there's a naturalness to being still. In our busy culture it's not seen that way, perhaps. And that's alright. We can use this idea of the invitation of the beauty and the simplicity of flower to invite us to simply rest. And so we're going to take the time to explore using an eye pillow for our eyes. And coming in to Shavasana, the corpse pose. So we can start by just finding a comfortable blanket. Stretching out and then slowly lowering the spine. You can just led the head roll side to side. And usually you'll feel a release in the jaw and in the neck. So the head sometimes has a tilting in this manner. Gently what you want to do is bring your hands on your hair. You can float for just a moment, side to side motion. And then gently relaxing the head down on to your pillow. Making sure that you have it in just the right spot. Gently take in the fingers again, outlining them around the eyes. Tapping ever so lightly. Circling again at the temples by the cheek bones. Imagining the outside edges of the eyes widening. Inside corners of the eyes are deepening. Giving yourself full appreciation for the fact that you are doing this practice. You're not going to sleep. The television is not on. There's a sense of quiet. Enjoy a little bit of weight of the eye pillow. Sometimes you can have a lavender filling if that's appealing to you. And as you gently let this rest over the eyes. Let your hands just drop in towards the side area. The head is comfortable. You feel situated. You've wriggled into that space. And then you completely tense the whole body for just a moment feeling in the abdominals. Feeling in the legs, lifting the arms and gently dropping. Maybe one more time squeezing, tightening, tightening. Aah! And dropping."
