"Hi. Welcome to Face Yoga with Fran Dukehart. What we're going to do is look at learning about the pressure points on the meridian system, that connects our whole body, of course, to our face. So I'm going to think about not just the edge of the face, I'm going to think about how the face connects with the scalp and the hair, the back of the head. So I'm going to just demonstrate one of the odd ways that you can have facial yoga support your pressure points and open up your meridian system, the energy channels, so that you can have a more relaxed and at ease face. I'm going to begin by using a little bit of oil, just because that feels like it gives a little bit of lubrication and will make it more gentle. So using a little bit of oil on the fingertips, I'm gently going to start right in the middle of the eyebrows coming out...moving into the temples...coming into the hairline...moving the scalp...tapping...stroking the back of the neck, especially letting it get long, feeling that this space, it's about eight fingers back, so where the ninth finger would be, you want to feel a real opening here at the top of the head. It's called, the "Fountain Elle", the "Fountain of Light". So you're imagining great ideas, solutions to any challenges that might have, just a great, deep sense of appreciation for life filling in this space. And it actually improves the whole posture when you connect this space at the top of the head. And then gently the back of the head...and then coming into the ears. That's an invitation to that deep space of silence...and coming into the jaw...and then bringing two fingers, second and third, right here at the jaw, drawing it down to the chin...from the chin up...so this is really a true face lift here. Allow the muscles to relax...and come up. And imagine that there's an imaginary string right here at the top of the head that lets the body feel...lifted and renewed."
