"Hi! This is Dr. Erik Sorbo on behalf of expertvillage.com. Today we’re going to talking about proper posture and some exercises you can do to help strengthen your spine, and keep it working the way it should. This is a tool that you can use to improve your posture it’s called a dynamic ball or a body ball. Now, the key for this is when you’re seated on a dynamic ball, you’re knees should be at 90 degrees, they shouldn’t be more than 90 or less than 90. You should be able to sit nice and straight, comfortably. As you can see from the side here, I’ve got all my weight centered. My head over my shoulders; shoulders over my hips. Sitting on a dynamic ball in this fashion requires proper posture. If you were to try and slouch, chances are you will fall off the ball, so if requires proper posture and good muscle control in order to sit on this ball. Some of the other things you should focus on are very little sensation on the bottom of your feet. It should actually feel like your feet are floating just off the ground, and all the weight should be tethered from the center of your body down through the center of the ball to the center of the earth.
