"Hi, I am doctor Filardo. I am a certified in Acupuncture and we are here with Expert Village today in our office in Winter Park and we are talking about in our next segment how energy flow or the chi can be interrupted. And the two ways that it can really be interrupted that research has shown is through the pathways, through the meridians and the second way is the spinal column. So, when we talk about the meridians the first way, let's talk about what those meridians are and their names. We will first go over the gall bladder, bladder, the liver, the lung, small intestine, large intestine, the governing vessel, the conception vessel, triple heater, kidney, pericardium, and the heart. Those are the twelve pathways that can be interrupted in terms of the energy flow or the chi and we can use some cool techniques on how to measure those and then we can treat them accordingly. The second way is the spinal column. So, the spinal column as you can see has a lot of points there and in the back, but also this is the big connection between manipulation and acupuncture and why the Chinese believe that it goes hand in hand in treating human beings. And so if the spinal column, if there is a bone out of place or discarniation or disportrusion then it is going to require to be manipulated otherwise that nerve flow is going to be decreased or the chi will be decreased. So this is a really important part to make the connection in history between the manipulation and acupuncture was when they started researching that the meridian goes over the spine; the front and the posterior. So, those are the ways that energy flow or chi can be interrupted."
