"I wanted to spend some time today to give you a description of what a pinched nerve looks like. So that you can visualize it in your mind in case your doctor has done some tests and told you that you have a pinched nerve. This is a representation of your vertebrate and this is of your nerve coming out from your spinal cord. There is an exit hole called a foramen where the nerves exit and it goes to your arms, and your legs, and your abdomen around your back. These, unlike an electric wire, the electric conduction on a nerve bounces on the outside kind of like a kangaroo jumping. It's called salutatory conduction. If there is a pinch and exposes the inside of the nerve, it will break the conduction and you'll experience pain or weakness or both. Everything in your body heals. Even nerve roots and nerves. They can heal at the rate of one inch a month if you have good hydration and good vitamin supplementation and good nutrition. You can check with your doctor, your chiropractor, your physical therapist or another health professional to help you with these things."
