"Hello my name is Dr. Susan Jewell and on behalf of expert village, I am going to talk to you about breast cancer. Now in this particular clip we are going to talk about the risk factors of getting breast cancer. Now what are the risk factors, obviously the age is one of the major risk factor of getting breast cancer, the older you re the more increased risk you are at getting breast cancer. Genetics, breast cancer has a very high hereditary genetic component to it and its been found by research and also clinical data that particular gene that is involved with breast cancer mutations in the brac1 and brac 2 gene are very prominent factor that interplay in women that can actually develop breast cancer. So family history or also personal history of breast cancer is a very strong component for getting breast cancer yourself. Now, women who have delayed childbirth or prolonged exposure to estrogen putting themselves at risk of getting breast cancer. Delayed child birth because that increases you to having more exposure to having estrogen in your body. So these are some of the major factors or risk factors that can contribute to you having an increase risk of you getting or having breast cancer."
