"Hello, my name is Dr. Susan Jewell. Now, in this clip we're going to talk about which particular fingers, or digits, as we call them in medical terms, to use to do a self testicular examination. So, the three digits you're going to use are the thumb, the index finger, and the middle finger. Now these are the three digits, or the fingers, that you're going to use to palpate the testicle. But, you also have to remember you use the tip of the fingers or the fleshy pad. So, the fleshy pad would be the extremity. So, these are the three fingers that you actually use to palpate or feel the testicles. Now, the important thing to remember is to use only the fleshy extremity, or the fleshy pad, of the digits as he's pointing out here. That's what you actually use to palpate the testicle itself, when you're feeling the texture of the testicle. And also, you're feeling for any lumps. So remember, these are the three fingers and to use the appropriate hand when you are actually palpating the appropriate side of the testicle."
