"Hello, my name is Dr. Susan Jewell, and on behalf of Expert Village, today I'm going to talk to you about how to find ways to alleviate some of the symptoms of colds and flus. Now, in this particular clip, we are going to talk about salt gargling because salt gargling will help to actually soothe the irritation and decrease the pain from the sore throat that you'll get from the virus and bacteria that causes colds and flus. So, very easily, you just get a cup of water at whatever temperature (preferably cold because the cold will also help to soothe your throat) and then you just add two tablespoons of salt. Earlier on, I added one tablespoon already. So, just add two tablespoons of salt to this glass of water and really stir it so that it dissolves. And then what you could do is then you go to a sink, because you are going to do a salt gargle. So, you know, you just...and you spit it into the sink. You do this several times. You can use the whole glass of salt water and just really cleanse your throat. It will soothe the irritation and help relieve some of the pain. Now you can also buy ready-made gargle in the pharmacy or local drug store. You can buy throat sprays which help to soothe the irritation, but this is a cheap and easy, handy way that you can make a salt gargle to help the irritation of your throat and soreness. "
