"Hello, my name is Dr. Susan Jewell. In this clip I'm going to talk to you about exercising to help relieve the symptoms of male menopause or what we call andropause. So there are certain things that you could do. Of course, you could go out and do your regular jogging and exercise. Or go swimming to tone up the body also just keep your body at the most optimum shape and toned. Work out your cardio-vascular to keep your heart in good condition, but also to stave off some of the symptoms of male menopause. One good thing is you can do weights. And I think weights that you do at the gym is good. Or you can just get one of these dumbbells and do it at home in the privacy of your home. But the important thing is to do it on a regular basis and get a regular exercise regime going and to do it meticulously. So, exercising is good. Now another way to do it of course, is if you don't want to do too much strenuous, or you can incorporate this into your other very strenuous exercises, is to Pilates, or stretching when you are sitting watching the TV. or something. You can always sit there and do exercises at the same time with this sort of rubbery, stretchy band here you can do all these stretching exercises. For example, you can do one where you can put the feet and just stretch out your feet and just go like this. Or you can go and stretch all of your muscles and do some sort of like isometrics. It feels good and also helps tone your muscle. And exercise is good to stave off the signs and symptoms of male menopause. And another thing is weight bearing exercises. If you don't have dumbbells, another way is to substitute or get two tin cans as long as they are of equal weight, then you can do some sort of weight bearing exercise like this. These are just some of the ways that you can do it to exercise. But exercise is good and it will help you with the male menopause symptoms."
