"Okay, now what I'm going to show you. I already asset her low back. I already went through and felt exactly what everything needed. I showed you the one way of adjusting the low back. There's another way of adjusting the low back. Both of these ways that I will show you can be used for what we call the lumbar spine, which is the lowest 5 vertebrae of the back, or it can be used for the pelvis. Now, in her case, I already adjusted her pelvis on the table. Her lumbar spine doesn't need anything, so I will not actually be making the adjustment but I will show you how it's done. Again, as I've said several times before in chiropractic, the adjustment is very specific. That means that we locate the vertebra that needs to be adjusted. We locate exactly what direction it needs to be adjusted in and then we get everything in the right position to create that adjustment in the right direction on the exact vertebra that we're looking for. In this particular style of adjusting, we have the patient laying here on their side. Which side they lay on depends on the vertebra and depends on which direction needs to be adjusting in mainly. This is just as an example. What we would have them do is a certain configuration of the legs here. One leg here. This allows me to put my leg against her thigh to stabilize. Stabilization allows us to be that much specific in the adjustment. What I would do is I'd get in here and support my hand against her arm. Some chiropractors do it up here. Everyone's different. Myself, I'm not as tall as some so I need to have a little bit closer things to me because I don't have the reach that some of them do. Anyway, then we'll reach back here, we'll find the exact spot that we want to be on, put our hand on that spot, stabilize with my thigh against her thigh, and then we can make the adjustment right here. Again, this can be very, very specific when it's done right."
