"Okay, now after I finished with the lumbar spine, then the next thing that I go to is what we call the thoracic spine. That's what mostly consider their midback, upper back, areas like that. It's basically anywhere from the neck down to what most people consider low back. Again, my approach is very similar. The first thing that I feel for is the heat. Again, like I mentioned before, because like we talked about, anytime you have subluxation you have the swelling that's involved. Again, when I find the spot that has heat, then I make my mental note. There's warmth right in here. Good possibility that there's a subluxation right in there. Again, I'll feel for the different muscles spasms, see if there's anything that's spasmed up. Like on her, I can feel heat right in here and I feel that there's a spasm right there rolling around under my fingers. I know there's a good chance there's something going on here. Again, I also feel for the way it's moving. I can actually just sit here and feel how each one of these vertebrae is moving in it's normal motion. As most patients can attest, they can feel whenever I get to that spot, it's just kind of locked up, so to speak. It's a way a lot of people describe it. What I'll do is I'll find in here the exact one. This is where I get specific. This is where it becomes chiropractic specific, because like I mentioned before, we find the specific one, the exact vertebra. Find out which direction it's not moving and there it is. It's actually rotated this way, so I'm going to get on this side of it and push it back down that way. Again, what I'm going to do, I'll place my hand on this one right over here. I'm going to have her drop her hands straight down. My other hand over here to stabilize with. Go ahead and take a deep breath in for me, now let it all the way out. Once she gets all the way down, that means she's completely relaxed and I'll give it that little bump right there. First time I didn't get it, so I gave it a real quick second time. I don't know if the camera picks it up or not, but then you can hear the crack. The crack with an adjustment doesn't always have to be there to get a true adjustment, but when we get the crack we know we got movement anyway. We know the joint moved. In this case, I felt the joint move and I heard the crack. I know the adjustment took place. "
