"A really great way to open up your side body is by using a bolster in a side-lying stretch. Gina is going to help me demonstrate this and so we're going to take the bolster and lay it horizontally to you anyway. Now Gina is going to come and lay over the bolster. Now she wants to lay on her side and make sure that neither her shoulder or her hip touches the ground. So now if you are tall you might need a couple of either blankets or bolsters, you could always use more. Good. So she is lengthening out and she is going to keep her feet together. Now she is going to inhale in and as she exhales she is going to extend that arm up and over so she can really open up through her side body. Good. Now if it is not comfortable for you to have her feet together she could also split her legs and have one forward and one back but just so you get this really nice stretch through the side right here. Then she is just going to stay in this pose for about three to five minutes just relaxing. Do we feel an opening here Gina? And if you would like to put your feet together again you could always use your sand bag to just create a little more weight. Is that going to knock you over? This will help you open up through the side body just a little bit more. It feels really good."
