"In this clip we'll talk about when OCD begins. There is no real clear point as to when OCD starts. There's no age to give you. But it's thought and research shows us that it begins most likely in early childhood. Starting at as early as preschool going up through childhood, adolescence. Usually coming through and definitely usually being defined by early adulthood. No later usually than age 40. So if you're a family member the main thing is to know the behaviors and really pay attention to what's going on with your loved one. If you're a person who you think might be suffering from OCD, again, read about the symptoms, find out what they are, see if they match what you're experiencing. And also seek professional medical advice. There are about three million adults in the U.S. suffering from OCD and about one million children are the estimates that have OCD in this country. So again, it's prevalent and the way to know is to get more information."
