"Hi! This is David Jackel on behalf of Expert Village and I'm here to talk to you about getting fresh air as a way to preventing a cold. Now when you don't have fresh air, that means that everybody is breathing the same air and that means that if one person has a germ, everyone else is going to catch it too. A lack of fresh air, also means that your body starts to dry out which would leave you susceptible to germs. Sometimes you really don't have a choice, if you're in a airplane or if you're in a tightly packed train, you have to breathe everybody else's air and then you're running a risk. So what can you do? Well, when you're at home, when you control the environment yourself, always keep a window open. This can be tough in the winter, but even just for a few minutes you should open a window and get some fresh air because you don't want to be breathing in the same dry air all the time. Now, if you're traveling you have to take defenses measures because you don't have the ability to open a window in a airplane. So what you should do is do things like take vitamins before you get in a airplane, wash your hands constantly, have hand sanitizer with you and as soon as you get off wash your hands too. As a general rule, try not to spend all day indoors, even if it's cold out, go out for a walk, get a little bit of fresh air, it's really good for your system and it'll help you prevent getting a cold."
