"Hi! This is Dr. Alida Smisek on behalf of expertvillage.com. I'm here to talk to you about teeth whitening tips and techniques. In this clip, we're going to talk about how to apply a take home whitening material. Should you and your dentist have decided that you're a good candidate for take home whitening and you've had bleaching trays made, when you get home to use these you will have also been given some tubes of whitening gel. The first thing you would do is brush and floss your teeth; make sure you're applying it to clean teeth surfaces. You take your tray and apply the bleach on the interior surface of the tray on the front parts of the teeth, whatever teeth you and your dentist have decided are good candidates for bleaching. You apply a small amount of the jail onto the internal surface and then you would put the tray into your mouth over your teeth squishing it right down so it fits snug over your teeth. Any gel that would come out the bottom of the tray would be wiped away either with your toothbrush or a dry cloth. You would wear the tray with the gel for whatever amount of time your dentist has recommended. Upon taking the tray out of your mouth, you want to make sure that you get all the bleaching material out of your mouth as well. So you would brush your teeth thoroughly and floss, and then you clean the tray afterwards."
