"Now we are going to take a look at the levator scapulae. Levator Scap is another important muscle up in this upper shoulder area. This is the muscle that is responsible when it is too tight you feel like your shoulders are pulled up high, hunched up high or almost even rolled forward a little. So this is a good one to stretch. You want to do this one daily. This is another on that can because you that pin-point pain coming along this upper part of your back area. A good way to stretch it is to take your hand and go ahead and grab, just like in the previous one, the other side and bring the ear down to the shoulder. Instead of looking down this way what you are going to want to do is look down that side. and Now you are actually going to get a good stretch line here coming down. Again, it is important to always maintain that proper position, where you want to support your low back and it is curved and then through here. Again, with this exercise as you are coming down and this time you are looking towards that shoulder as opposed to the opposite side of the upper trap. That is the big difference for this exercise. You want to make sure you actually get a hold of that. What is important with this is the head rotation that is how you differentiate between the levator scap and the upper trap. With the levator you want to remember that when you are down you are looking down and towards that side versus with the upper trap when you bring that head down, you want to bring it down, but you want to be looking the opposite side."
