"The next stretch and exercise is going to deal with the hamstring muscle. Now were going to take a look how to stretch the hamstring muscle. There's qui a few different ways to stretch the hamstring. You can do it seated, you can do it standing, but I prefer to do it laying down cause I feel it really isolates the muscle much more. So what you going to want to do is lay flat on your back and you?re going to want to bend both your knees so your feet are flat on the ground and your knees are bent. Now from this position your going to want to grab one of your legs with both hands and pull back. While at the same time extending your foot and your leg until you feel a gentle pull on the hamstring muscle. Your going to want to hold this for ten to twenty seconds, remember to breathe and then relax. Switch sides and then repeat. Just like with all these, your going to want to do five repetitions at the beginning and eventually go up to fifteen. Now everybody's hamstring is different. Some people are a lot more flexible than others, so you might have to really stretch. Someone that has a good hamstring that's pretty well worked, there going to be able to bring their leg almost straight back. Where as other people, your going to have to come and bend more at the knee with just a little bit of extension in the knee here. That's going to depend on the actual person, but they will know it because they will feel the pull in the hamstring. Now that we've taken a look at the hamstring muscle were going to move on to look at the next stretching exercise."
