"We're going to look at a series of exercises that have been specifically chosen to help strengthen and condition the muscles that support the lower back. Now, these exercises are great. Because, they can be done at home without any special equipment or anything like that. Shortened muscles cause low back pain. Stretching exercises help elongate the muscles and help get rid of the tightness in the muscle. So, what happen is when our buttocks and our hamstrings and our quads and into our core low back muscles. That helps support the spine. And, these all shorten up. And, this can cause misalignments. It can cause improper movement. And, that's what causes the pain in your back sometimes. So, what we're going to do is a series of exercises that's going to help just strengthen and stretch that area. Through the strengthening exercise, we're going to help increase mobility of the joints. We're going to help preserve the posture in someone's body. And, we're also going to help alleviate back strains. Now, it's always important before doing any sort of exercise even with strengthening exercises it's always important to warm up. Whether, that's just marching in place, walking for five minutes or using the bike for a couple of minutes before you start. So, now we're going to take a look at a couple of basic stretching exercises for the back.
