"In this clip we will talk about the different types of breast reduction surgery. The different techniques for breast reduction surgery. The most simple type of breast reduction surgery actually involves liposuction and that would be very ideal if it could be performed on a lot of women because of the minimal amount of scarring. Unfortunately not everyone is a candidate for liposuction because if there?s significant amount of loose skin and droopiness to the breast the liposuction will not provide a very satisfactory reduction. Also liposuction is directed at more removing fat in the breasts and does not really remove the glandular tissue. There for it s only utilized in perhaps ten percent or less in women that have breast reduction. Generally much younger women. Typically the breast reduction does involve repositioning the nipple and the areola complex higher up on the chest wall and still leaving it attached to the underlying tissues so that there is a good blood supply so the color is good and there?s a good sensory supply so there?s not significant numbness and also try to assure the ability to nurse after surgery. And this is of course is critical for younger women. The incisions are placed around the nipple areola complex down below the fold and then underneath in a pattern that may resemble a upside down T or a anchor type pattern."
