"Now what we are going to focus on is layer number three now and these are the muscles that you use if you do ballet or any type of dance or let's say you wear heels and your foot and you get pain and discomfort all along. A lot of people get calcified and it is calcified here as well because this is kind of like the base of your foot so these areas kind of get hard sometimes. The muscles that are attributed to the outside of the big toe all along here, whatever it stands on are going to be affected. This is what curls your toes up this is when you feel a cold sensation and the muscles allow your feet to do one of these things. One of them is what they call the abductor hallucis and then there is a flexor hallucis and they are all along in here, all along these muscles here."
