" Hi I’m Angela on behalf of Expert Village.com and right now I am going to show you a home remedies technique for dry eyes. Usually dry eyes and red eyes are caused by lack of sleep so a way to prevent this where your eyelids are hurting at work is the night before to put warm water over your eyelids. This allows the oils to exit, to get all the excess makeup off and then when you sleep you are more refreshed. If you are at work and you are suffering from dryness and red eyes and lack of sleep, what you can do is go to your bathroom, grab a cloth and just fold it in square and run really cold water on it. Just wait for a little while till it gets colder. The more I get this wet and just press the water out. Right now it is really cold. All you do is one eye at a time and just place this over my eye for about a minute and if it tends to warm-up while I am doing this I can always cool down again and put on that same eye. What this does is the cool water refreshes it and once you move the cloth, it opens it up and releases the dryness and redness because the redness is actually caused from the dryness. After I am finished with this eye, I wet it again with cold water, wring it out and put on the other eye. "
