"Hi! I am Angela, and right now I am going to discuss proper posture for sleeping. First of all what I recommend is that you have a rather firm mattress because very, very soft mattresses have no back support, in which case you will be hyperextending the spine and waking up with backaches, even neck aches. This is a relatively firm mattress. Now, what is best for the back is sleeping on either side or on the back itself. You do not want to sleep on your stomach because it will be curvature of the spine. Techniques that I have for you is I have a relatively large pillow and I am going to lay on it, and if I feel that the space between or if my neck hyperextended because the pillow is so big, I can always put a towel where my neck is, so that the increase or the incline is more gradual and more pleasant. The same thing applies if I am sleeping on my side. I have that neck support right here and it is soft and it is minimum. Also while sleeping if I have a small pillow and I am sleeping on my side, what is helpful for support is for me to put the other pillow in between my legs to compensate for the lack of support right here. Another thing that you can do, the small pillow if I am lying on my back is to do the same thing relatively; put this pillow under my legs and these are techniques to have proper posture while sleeping."
