"After we had discussed earlier we know that proteins, carbohydrates and fats are really produced in energy but there are vitamins and minerals that help support metabolism of the protein, carbohydrates and fats. These are some of the minerals that we talked about know when you're looking to get these minerals from food you kind of have to think about where the minerals come from. A lot of the minerals are found in the soil where the plants are growing. So a lot of foods that are plant based are going to have hidden in minerals. They also come from bone sources so things like sardines and milk producing sources are also going to have some of them minerals. If you look here we know that Calcium is high in dairy products we all know that, but it's also high in sardines, broccoli and some other fruits and vegetables. Chromium is is very high in plants such as whole grains you'll find a lot of chromium in those and also in some of the fruits and vegetables, especially in mushrooms. Iodine is put into our salt because it doesn't naturally occur in a lot of foods and it sort of prevents any deficiencies in iodine but you'll find it in our salt. These other nutrients these other minerals that you see up here they are founded in a variety of foods so again getting the variety of foods from the food guide pyramid. From the meats, beans, nuts, seeds, fruits, vegetables, dairy and whole grains you're going to be able to get all the vitamins and the minerals that you need for your energy metabolism. "
