"Fat is responsible for a number of things in energy metabolism. It's mostly known for a storage of course and storage we don't like to keep a lot fat per storage but it's important for metabolism because it holds onto some of those fats vitamins such as A D E K. Also it's important to break down likopean which is a antioxidants that helps fight against cancer among doing other things. Some researchers are questioning diets low and fat are actually hindering athletes. So they are thinking maybe there are not getting enough fat and the reason why this might be occurring is that fat is one of the major energy sources when we are exercising at levels from low to moderate. So fat is very important it's also important in lubrication of moving our joints and it's also important in the muscles and that why it's so important with exercise is because the fat is found in the muscle and it's burn as energy."
