"Hi, I’m Annalicia Howlett on behalf of Expert Village.com and I am going to tell you who should get a Hepatitis C test. Experts agree that it is important to be tested if you have ever been exposed to Hepatitis C virus with a blood transfusion prior to 1992, a contaminated needle or other possible exposures to blood or bodily fluids. Some experts suggest testing if you have had multiple sex partners in your life time or if you have any sexually transmitted diseases. If you are uncertain about your possible exposure or not sure you how you might benefit from testing, we recommend you call the Health Care Counselor at 1-800-867-5655 or visit the homeaccess.com website and/or contact your physician. If you are a sex worker, you should be tested. You should be tested for Hepatitis C if you are an injection drug user, if you are injecting testosterone into your body or any other time or place when you might be exposed to the blood of another person, if you are having lots of rough sex or having promiscuous sex or if you hang out in areas where there is injection drug use happening.
