"Okay, so your client's feet have been soaking in the bowl of warm water, and salt, and vinegar, and oils for about five minutes. They are starting to soften up, so we are going to wash them off just briefly. And I like to use a gel or a scrub, something that's going to dissolve really easily into the skin. I use an Aveda calming body gel. Its got lavender and chamomile oils in it to help increase relaxation. And you don't need to do too much, just go around all of the toes and the soles of the feet up to just above the ankle bone (you want about two or three inches above the ankle bone), and all around the edges of the heel. And we'll wash off both feet and then we'll dry them. This is also the time when I do most of my questions about wondering if there are any symptoms she's got, or anything she is looking to specifically get worked on. So do you have any issues that are, you know, nerve or any issues of pain, anything that's been bugging you? (You know, probably my neck.) Okay, great; at the top of your neck? (You know at the top, what do they call it? C1, C2, and C3...right in there.) Great. Okay. Reflexology is great for working on specific areas of the body. If people have digestive problems, any sort of nerve issues in the legs, knees, joint issues, or any sort of respiratory problems, heart problems or headaches or neck problems. Reflexology is able to really effectively target specific areas of the body. So now, we've washed off her feet and then we'll dry them and move into the massage itself. "
