"Hi. I'm Dr. Filardo, doctor of chiropractic, and we are here today on behalf of Expert Village. Our next segment here in our office in Winter Park is: are there other things other than vertebral manipulation that we do here in our office to help reduce spinal stress or stress overall? In our office, we are very, very excited about some of the new, cutting edge wellness techniques that we use. Some of the things that you might experience in our office are the diagnostic tests that are very, very specific to wellness care. Some of that might be...we talked about the X-ray and we talked about the physical examination. That's not necessarily cutting edge, although it is very, very important. We do something called a stress scan and it measures the body's ability to adapt to stress. It's done through radio frequency; that's something that we are very excited about. Then, what that determines is electrical imbalances in the body, energy imbalances in the body and primarily in organ-based systems. So, the vertebral subluxation indirectly can treat organs, but we are kind of more focusing on that with discs, nerves, muscles and bones. So, we want to focus on the energy balancing of the body through the organs system. So, we have a scan that measures that; so that's really neat. And another thing we do on the first visit is we'll check for the tyro; we'll do a THS screening and we'll do a urine analysis and we do something called an iodine patch test to see if you are iodine deficient. Then we do something called a raglan test which will determine if you have adrenal gland deficiency. So we'll measure that and then we'll look at the digital scans. We have the new digital cameras that measures pelvic imbalance and gives a good colorful printout of how much weight you have on one leg versus the other. Then it takes a picture of your feet so that we can determine if your body is in balance, if your pelvis is imbalanced and if you require the need for orthotics. So, those are some of the neat ways that we look at when we determine is it just about manipulation? Then, all those scans will coordinate what type of care that patient might need. So we are really excited about all of the wellness services that we have. So, I think when we talk about manipulation, I just wanted to mention in this segment that we do other things to evaluate the need for manipulation or for some other sort of wellness along with the manipulation. We always want our patients to get manipulated because of the reduction in nerve stress, so that's part of it. Then, we just add some really good things, cool things to boost the immune system."
