"Hi. I'm Dr. Filardo, doctor of chiropractic, and we are here today on behalf of Expert Village. Our next segment is the question: how many visits do I actually need in going to the chiropractor? The national average is actually twenty to twenty two per patient, per injury. So, for different injuries, different treatments would apply. So what we talked about previously, the number of visits really depends on the injury. We know the national average is twenty to twenty two. But in our office, it is very custom to what a patient needs and that is determined based on x-ray examinations and all of our diagnostic findings. Then, we determine whether or not this is a pain protocol, an injury protocol or a wellness protocol. So, something to expect in our office is if it's an injury protocol, yes, we might use that national average (twenty to twenty two visits). If it's a wellness protocol, we have a few different wellness options in our practice where they may be one time a month or they may be two times a month. It's really when you get to wellness care, it is more about the relationship that we build and partner up with health together. So we will discuss what you, the patient, may want to get out of your life and out of your body. Then we determine and we customize that wellness program with other services as well that we will talk about in a later segment like acupuncture or massage therapy. So, if it's a pain protocol, then, yes we will stick with a twenty, twenty two visits on the national average; that's kind of what we see in our practice. Then for wellness, we may see you once or twice or three times a month."
