"Hi. I'm Beth Pry from MindLinks on Behalf of Expert Village. And today I have with me Brad Brewer from the Brad Brewer Golf Academy at Rose and Shingle Creek in Orlando, Florida. In this segment, we're talking about self hypnosis and the importance of hypnosis in helping you achieve your goals. Today I'm going to help you look how to create an intention. What is an intention? An intention is something that you seek out to have. An intention is something that you set forth. Say we're talking about golf, and of course Brad is a top one hundred golf instructor in the country, so we will be talking to him in just a moment about the intention that he has set for himself regarding his golf game. So how you create an intention is you look at where you want to be, not where you're not, where you wish you could be, where you hope you could be, but exactly where you want to be. It all begins with believing that you can be where you want to be. That's how you begin creating an intention. So Brad, let, let me ask you, what intention do you want to create regarding your golf game? Well I want to be able to play competitive golf with not, I don't have a lot of time on my hands like what I used to. So I need to be more efficient with my time and I want to keep my competitive game at a good level where I can have fun. Very good. So he wants to work on his golf game knowing that he may not have the time he used to have to dedicate to playing competitively, yet he wants to see himself as a competitive golfer, all the while having fun. Do you see that this is different from where he may have been? Perhaps in the past he was playing golf and feeling like he couldn't have all of that. But instead, we're looking to create an intention. An intention of something positive of where you want to go. Now Brad, does it feel different to speak as if you are where you already want to be which is different than remembering where you used to be? At first it certainly felt different and very weird, but now I've become so accustomed to it and it feels good. Great. So it feels awesome to create where you want to be and act as if you're already there. Great. That is exactly how you create an intention. Look to say where it is that you want to be instead of saying where it is that you are now."
