"Hi, I'm Beth Pry from MindLinks on behalf of Expert Village and today I have with me Brad Brewer, owner of the Brad Brewer Golf Academy at Rosen Shingle Creek in Orlando, Florida. In this segment we're talking about self hypnosis and I would like to talk to you today about how you relax your entire body and why relaxation is so important in self hypnosis. Relaxation is the first step in learning how to become hypnotized. How to put yourself in an altered state of mind. How you become, how you allow the rest of your body to relax, is simply once you have your eye muscles relaxed, that's the very very first step. Once you have your eye muscles relaxed, you relax the rest of your body by progressively placing your focus and attention on the parts of your body. Starting with your head. You relax your eye muscles and then you place your focus and attention on your jaw and chin and you allow yourself to think about your jaw and chin relaxing. Then of course you move down to your neck. Imagine your neck relaxing. See yourself relaxing your neck. See your neck in your mind's eye, with your eyes closed, see your neck how it's relaxing. Then you focus on your shoulders and your arms, your elbows, your forearms, your hands and fingers, back up to your chest. Your stomach, your hips, your legs, your knees, your feet and your toes and that's how you relax the rest of your body. Simply by placing your focus and attention on those parts of your body. You will notice that they begin to relax. Because remember, you listen to your body most. So try it today. Just place your focus and attention on the parts of your body and you will see just how easily it is to relax your whole body."
