"Hi. I'm Beth Pry from Mindlinks on behalf of Expert Village. And today I have with me Brad Brewer. Owner of the Brad Brewer Golf Academy at beautiful Rosen Shingle Creek in Orlando, Florida. And we're talking about self hypnosis. And today, in this segment, we're going to talk about what is the purpose of doing deep breathing. Deep breathing is the best way, the quickest way, in order to start to relax your body. Now the biggest idea about self hypnosis is to get yourself in a relaxed state. So the quickest way in order to relax yourself is to do deep breathing. Deep breathing slows down your heart rate. It slows down the brain activity and it just starts to ratchet yourself down. How many times are you stressed and you remember yourself like that? Or if you're nervous, in fact sometimes when I'm nervous I yawn. Why am I yawning? Because I want to take a deep breath in. My body needs that extra oxygen to lower my blood pressure, lower my heart rate and lower my brain activity so that I can be relaxed. And when we're relaxed is when we perform the best. So, why we deep breath is so we can begin to relax our body and be able to perform at our very best."
