Summary: Learn about the different levels of brain waves and their importance for self hypnosis with expert hypnosis tips in this free online self hypnosis video clip.
"Hi. I'm Beth Pry from Mindlinks on behalf of Expert Village. And today I have with me Brad Brewer, owner of the Brad Brewer Gold Academy at Shingle Creek in Orlando, Florida. We're talking about self hypnosis in this segment. And what I would like for you to learn is how brain wave levels affect us and why it's important to know about this as we endeavor into self hypnosis. Brain wave levels come in four different levels. The first level is going to be beta. And that's what you're in right now as you're listening to me. Unless your eyes are closed and you're deeply relaxed, then you might be in the alpha state. Typically you're in the beta state. In the beta state, you're the most aware, the most able to assess problems and make solutions quickly. In the alpha state, we begin to relax. In fact most kids under 10 years old live in the alpha state. We know creative children can be and this is why we begin to ratchet down our brain wave levels as we endeavor into self hypnosis. The third level is going to be delta and during that state that is when we start to get into deep sleep and dreaming sleep. How many of you remember dreaming? That's because you are at a delta level. And hypnosis actually goes at that level. That's where most hypnosis occurs. And then the fourth stage is no dreaming. You are very, very deeply asleep. In fact minor surgery can even be given in that state. And we can even do hypnosis for that level. But today we're just learning about brain wave levels. So if you want to endeavor into self hypnosis, you definitely want to start with the alpha level and get yourself down to delta and we'll learn more about that as we go on."
