"Hi! I'm Brenda F. Dixon, licensed clinical social worker. I'm here with Expert Village today. Our topic today is how to deal with anxiety disorders. I've given you a little overview of the most common disorders, anxiety disorders. I've given you a few hints and now I'm telling you a little bit more of the origin of it. I'll get back to the hints later. I wanted to tell you that illness and stress, they just dovetail into this anxiety disorder. If a person has been told that they have a terminal illness. If a person has this lingering thought, they may start to have fear; they may start to worry. The people around them may have this fear and worry, and it'll actually feed on the person that has the illness. That probably would be a good origin of an anxiety disorder. Another of it is stress. Let's say you have mortgage payment that's due and you don't have the money, that can create a lot of anxiety. Not a little, a lot. Anxiety disorders very much grow from that whole environment of fear. Remember fear and worry are the basis for this whole thing."
