"Hi! I'm Brenda F. Dixon, the owner of Life Help Now in Nashville, Tennessee. We're here with Expert Village today. Our topic is how to deal with anxiety disorders. I've given you a little bit of an overview of what the disorders look like. I want to tell you about just a little hint of how to handle a disorder of this type. This disorder, the root of it, is fear. I always tell my clients that you need an antidote, something to put over top of that fear to cover it up to make it go away, to counter it. I usually tell people to put faith on it. Faith is simply this. I have faith that this couch that I'm sitting on will hold me up. I don't have to worry about it. I know it's going to hold me up. I have faith that when I put my key in my car, turn it on, and drive it, that my car is going to hold me up and take me where I need it to go. Faith is something I begin to teach these people that have this disorder to counter by placing over top of the fear."
