Video Transcript

"Hi! I'm Brenda F. Dixon, the owner of Life Help Now in Nashville, Tennessee. I'm here with Expert Village. My topic today is how to deal with anxiety disorders. I want to spend a little bit of time telling you about the most common disorders. There's a lot of phobias, but I want to just tell you about the most common disorders. The first one is like a panic disorder. This disorder is when people are just kind of clipping along in their life doing what they ordinarily do and something like an added stress comes to them and they have a rush or fear that attacks them. Well, some people actually think they're having a heart attack. They will have a palpitation of their heart. They'll sweat. They have a choking sensation and they've actually gone to the hospital to have this checked out. The physicians do not see anything wrong with their heart, so it's strictly a panic disorder, something that is clipping of their air and it comes from a rush of fear."
