"OK, now let's talk for a minute about the criteria for selecting our play. We have gotten a great list together of some plays that we think might work for us for our humorous interp but some of the things that we have to take into consideration is we're picking our play is again, I'll restate it, is again for humorous interpretation it needs to be a comedy. It needs to be funny. It probably should be published. If you are going to do this humorous interpretation for any kind competition in which there are going to be awards given, your material will need to be published. So that's something to take into consideration if you're considering doing a play that a friend of yours friend wrote. Even if it's perfect and wonderful and funny you might need to double check and make sure you can do unpublished material. And the last thing that you have to take a look at is it must have a minimum of two really good characters that you can portray in your interpretation. So really you should probably pick three or four or five or even more characters. The minimum characters you can have is two in an interpretation. Because if you just have one character then it because it becomes a monologue and that's something totally different. So you have two and up and we're going to talk about dramatizing those characters here in just a minute. But what you have to do at this point is read the play."
