"Alright, now we want to talk about environmental factors. And the first thing I want to talk about in environmental factors is geographic location. Where does this play take place? Or, possibly, where is this character from? Maybe this play takes place in New York City, but this character is from the Appalachian Mountains. Those are going to be very, very important factors. Does, you know, is it big city, is it small town, is it down south, is it up north, East Coast, West Coast? What is the geographic location? Not only of what, where the play takes place, but what is the background of the character. Someone whose background is New York City is going to be a completely different type of character than someone's whose background was in the Appalachian Mountains or rural Nebraska. So that's going to be real important, the geographic location, which also is going to include climate. You know, where, is it cold, is it hot, is it dry, is it humid, is it rain forest-like a climate or is it North Dakota-like climate or Arizona, which is very dry? So take into account the climate of where the character is from as well as the if it's different the climate in the play."
