"Alright, we're still talking about short "o". We're talking about the sound of the short "o". In the last clip we took a look at words that have the short "o" sound and are written with the letter "o". Like "orange" becomes "arange". Like "stop" written with an "o" becomes "stap". Now the same thing can happen with the short "o" sound but it is written with a little "a". Like "father", it's the short "o" sound, it becomes "fathu". Again, we're un-rounding it. It's hard, it's "fathu". Same thing like spa. "I'm going to the spa". Becomes, "I'm going to the spu". Alright, so whether it's written with an "a" or an "o", if it is the short "o" sound, it becomes "a". It becomes a hard "a". In the next clip we're going to give you some practice words and sentences."
