"TRAVIS JOHNS: Hi, I'm Travis Johns and I'm with Expert Village and I'm here to talk to you about arranging your storage and supplies in your post-production home office. As you can see, I have a variety of supplies that I'm going to need to keep my home post-production studio running. So, I have pens, scissors. I have a ruler in case I'm doing just a straight design job which requires printing out proofs for a client, making mock-ups of collateral that is going to be in magazines or anything that's print related. You also want to make sure that you've got a bunch of blank DVDs, a bunch of blank CDs that you can use to give clients anything they need. Always having a supply of those--it comes in very handy so you're not constantly going out to the store each time you're doing a project. Not all of the work you're going to be doing in your post-production home office is going to be done on the computer. There's going to be a lot of correspondence. You're going to need Post-it notes, legal pads, just things you'd find in a general office anywhere. You need to make sure you have all of that in one place and--so it's easy to find and so that you can access it anytime you want to. For instance, I always have an excess of Post-it notes because I'm constantly making to-do list so that I can stay organized. And you want to make sure you know where everything is so that it doesn't quickly become a mess because no one else is going to be able to manage it except for you."
