He will teach you how to arrange computer equipment & supplies, all about hardware & software requirements, and how to pick the right software, monitors, & furniture. Travis will also show you how to store media, set up lighting, check the audio, organize paperwork, & supply power. He will even show you how to stay organized and focused and hw to build a home studio on a limited budget.

"TRAVIS JOHNS: Hi, I'm Travis Johns with Expert Village and I'm here to talk to you about arranging your equipment in your home studio office. For a video production, if you're doing it yourself, you need to start with a computer which I have under here. You want to make sure that it is out of the way, that the fan is not too loud; it doesn't bother you. More than likely, you're going to need a lot of desktop space viewing different applications so you want to make sure that you've got two monitors available to you as well as an external monitor for any of the video that you plan on editing. You're going to need this monitor for checking certain broadcast specifications which you can't necessarily check on a computer monitor. You want to make sure that you've got a deck which you can use to digitize footage on any given project as well as external hard drives and anything else that you might need to take care of file space. You also want to make sure that you have all of the necessary cables that external drives and any other types of hardware will require. You want to make sure that you have a drawer where you keep all of your cables so that they'll be easy to find when you need them."
