Using The Pinky During Magic Card Tricks

"My name is Wayne Phelps and I am a professional magician and we are here with Expert Village.com. Okay guys I’ve got a really cool card trick for you; you are going to love it. For this we are going to use a selected card. Now it can be any card selected by a spectator from the deck. For example though I am going to use the queen of spades. Now the spectator selects the card and you can have him put it back on the top of the deck and to make sure there are going to do a couple of shuffles to apparently use the card. After doing a couple of shuffles, you might want to cut the cards nice and fair and now what you are going to do is you are going to put the cards in your hand just like this, and you are going to give the magical command, okay by saying abracadabra what happens is the selected card mysteriously rises from the center of the deck and comes out at the middle. No strings attached. Now guys, this card trick is called “Pinkie Does It” because the pinkie does it. You will see what I mean here in a minute. The cards selected can be any card selected and you can have it put back to the top of the deck and do a top retention, just like we have learned. Shuffle the deck 3-4 times just to give the spectators the sense that the deck is really shuffled, you can even do a cut if you really want to just as long as that card stays on top or if you want to you can always have the spectator put it on the bottom and then just do it Hindu shuffle to move the card from the bottom position to the top position, so you are ready to go. Either way you choose get the card to the top position in the deck. When you come up, break the cards into a little step looking pattern. You are going to hide that behind your hands so that they do not see that and what you are going to do is you are going to say magic words - finger comes down, they see this finger but what they do not see is behind the cards your pinkie pops out and makes connection with the back of the cards. Your pinkie lifts the back card which is really the spectator’s selected card and then your hand just lifts up, that is why it is called Pinkie Does It, it is because the pinkie does it. Once the card is moved up the card is mysteriously raised from the deck as their selected card and that’s pinkie does it. "
