"People come to the native flute for various different reasons. Some for the culture of the Native Americans, some for the woodworking, they're already woodworkers they get very interested in the flutes and all the delicate ways you can ornament the flutes. Some people come for the music and some people come because the connection with nature. For me it's both the music and the nature connection that I value the most. When I take my flute out, walk to the top of a hill or even a mountain, look down to a beautiful scenery I can just play for hours, really. It's a beautiful thing, it's relaxing and it's expressive and it really helps me to connect with nature and I will hope that you will have the same feeling. You can take your flute outside by a lake, by a meadow, on a mountain and play what you see, that's a really special feeling and other people love it too."
