"One other things to practice because it's really good for your whole air stream and the whole tone of your playing is long tones. You can just kind of soulitify the sound of your flute by playing long tones on all the different notes. For some people this is harder than it seems and for those folks they need to concentrate on there breath make sure they take enough of breathe before they start, and make sure there not blowing to hard so there breathe goes out to fast. So you can experiment with those things and play more long tones on the notes. This is also a good way to relax as your working on playing your flute and the most relax possible, with the least tension on your fingers."
